The weather in Athens truly has a life of its own–you never know what you’re going to get–but it snowed today for the first time this winter. I’m 98% certain our superintendent is going to call a snow day for the two to three inches that are expected. When I hear the phone ring at 6:30 a.m., I think about my time in Rochester, when two to three feet was standard snowfall, and they never, ever called a snow day. This is like living in the South where if they even think it might could snow, they go ahead and shut everything down. And Yankee, you may think that you’re a good driver, but stay home or you might die because no one else can drive in the snow. Consider yourself warned.
Reader, he called it.
