What’s up, pussycats?

August 7, 2013

I thought that sounded better than “What’s up, b*tches?” Well, at least for your RSS feeds. I love you, b*tches. And I miss you. The people who write rules about how to make money blogging be a good blogger say that when you don’t write for three months you should just jump right back in like you were never gone. Probably because your readers didn’t notice. If you noticed, thank you. If not, I wouldn’t have noticed either. No biggie. But if you thought that I finally had my projected mental/nervous breakdown, I didn’t. Well, close — we moved.

Yup. We . . .

  1. Bought a house.
  2. Moved to a new town.
  3. Brian started medical school.
  4. I got a new teaching job.
  5. Scarlett made two new besties and is starting preschool(!).
  6. And Leo turned one.

I had a few mini-meltdowns. But I’m okay. Oh, look. WordPress got some nice updates. Nice.

This is where I should insert lots of pictures of our new house so that you’ll stay interested and keep scrolling, except I didn’t take any pictures. We’ve only lived here a month and half. Don’t rush me. Let me see what I have for you.

Oh, you’re in luck. I did take a few.

Also, since the changing of one’s hair is always a major life event for one’s friends, I should let you know: I pixie cut my hair. I’ve always wanted a super blonde pixie, so I thought that I should go ahead and do that because I’m 33 and have spent half my life wishing my hair were a platinum pixie, and I’m not sure why I didn’t do it before. So there you have it. I don’t have a picture because it’s still my dark and serious natural color until my appointment on Saturday. It’s not worth posting a photo right now.

I think today is Wednesday, so Happy Hump Day. Love you long time, friends.
