Loves, I’ve been working on a secret mission: a mission statement. As you smarties know, this is generally a good idea for anyone who has a project or business, and since I typically feel like Sybil when it comes to my blog content, I thought a central mission would help me to serve you better. Here’s what I’ve got for you so far:
To give readers the tools to cultivate confidence through honesty and humor.
I’ve spent, oh, my entire life working to be more confident and assertive. I’ve battled depression, anorexia, perfectionism, big failure, and oodles of self-doubt, and I’ve overcome most of them. Of course, there will always be obstacles, but I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve, and now I want to give them all to you.
It occurred to me that other day that just as I am better in supporting roles on stage I may be better as a supporting player than leading lady in real life. (Life imitiates art on occasion, does it not?) Yes, I’m at my best when I help other people be their best. So, that’s what I want to do for you because I love you, and the truth is that deep down I’m an eternally optimistic dreamer who really does want world peace. Just don’t tell my brooding inner artist.
Peace and love.
