How was your weekend? Did you go out? Socialize with humans who speak Adult English over adult beverages? Sounds glorious. I remember when I used to go out on weekends. Just kidding. I can’t even remember the last time I showered. Plus, I had a zit on my upper lip, which as everyone knows is the worst place to have a zit, so it was probably best that I avoided seeing people so they didn’t have to avoid looking at it. In related news, I’m out of cover-up.
Okay, so maybe I did leave the house. I took Scarlett to see Legally Blonde: The Musical. (Nothing like a dark theater to make you feel pretty!) We have an Elle Woods Barbie that someone gave me when I got Zoë because I pretty much am Reese Witherspoon (obviously), so Scarlett had some frame of reference, although she assured me that the Elle Woods on stage was not Elle Woods. She spent most of the show whispering, “Where’s Amanda?” Amanda’s a friend of mine who played a mermaid in the last show we saw. Fortunately, we found Amanda after the show where Scarlett promptly told her about her recent phone upgrade from 3G to 3GS. (Yes, she has iPhone. Don’t judge. What else are we going to do with our old ones? Sell them on the Interwebs?) I’m hoping all this early exposure to theatre will encourage her to pursue a career in medicine.
Speaking of theatre, Brian and I start rehearsals this week for God of Carnage, and I am freaking out. Seriously. FREAKING OUT. The sitter I had lined up for Mondays and Wednesday just told me that she forgot to tell me that she can’t do Wednesdays. Really? I’ve been stressed out about the babysitting situation since June. We have to bring Scarlett and Leo to rehearsals with us, and I finally, FINALLY got them all covered this week. I think I might throw up a little. Also, memorizing the actual play (you mean, the reason I’m doing all of this?) should be interesting since I can’t even remember the last time I showered (see above).
Wait, is that circus music? All aboard the crazy train! Mama’s gone nuts.
Writing this in real time is nuts. (How’s it for you?) Facebook just found me a friend who can cover every night I need. Amazeballs.
Thanks for tuning in today. I hope you enjoyed the ride! See you next time – same bat-time, same bat-channel. Kiss, kiss.
