Yes, it’s true: my 33rd birthday is just one month from
today yesterday. (Oh, I thought that today was September 16th. This should give you a good sense of my brain function these days.) A lot has happened since I last wrote. Here’s a recap:
I had a baby.
I know, I know . . . I’m super slow on the blog birth announcement. I’ve got my reasons, but I’d rather talk about that another day. So, I’d like you to meet Mr. Leo David Scharfenberg, our tiny little man with a super sweet disposition. We love him.
And I can’t believe that he’s already eight weeks old. As they saying goes, “The days are long, but the years are short.” I’m finally starting to feel a little like myself again, and I think it’s time to get past things that I’ve been holding on to and make the changes in my life that need to be made, which is why I’ve decided to start (cue the trumpet fanfare: Doo-doo-doo-doo!) a happiness project. I’ll be planning it over the next month, just in time for my birthday. Birthdays have always seemed like a better time for resolutions than New Year’s anyway. You know what I mean?
Until then, I hope you’re enjoying the start of football season, pumpkin spice lattes, and cooler evenings! Peace and love.
