It’s almost summer! We had a long, cold winter here in Ohio, followed by a long, rainy spring. It has seemingly stopped raining, and the sun is shining warmly. Good thing. I think most Ohioans probably have a vitamin-D deficiency that needs replenishing.
Some Enchanted Evening closed yesterday. I’ll be taking a break from theatre for a while to pursue some other areas of performance that I’ve recently become interested in. This summer I’m taking a voice-over class, and I’m super excited about it. I’ve been wanting to learn more about voice-over for some time now, and this seems like a great way to do just that. Plus, I’ll get to spend some time in Pittsburgh, which is a very cool town. I’m also in the early stages of putting together a cabaret show with a friend of mine. This is something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. There’s no time like the present.
Other than those projects, I’m renovating my voice studio and getting myself organized for the fall semester. I’m hoping to get some new headshots this summer, since my current headshot is anything but. Brian took the photo in 2004 outside our apartment complex in Greensboro. Okay, maybe that was seven years ago. At least my hair is the same color. My sister Sarah and I will be causing trouble with a video camera and doing lots of yoga. I love summer.
