Hello and welcome!

Welcome to the new online home for Melissa Brobeck [dot] com! The site is in the midst of an at-home facelift. (Scary, I know.) Since I am doing everything myself, and learning it all at the same time, there are bound to be some hiccups.  Thanks for your patience!

Why the move?

Last month, I launched a second website for my voice studio. I used the same service that I had been using for this site so that I might get things up and running as quickly as possible.  However, I realized that with the addition of the second site, I was juggling two websites and a blog, each of which had a different login and dashboard to navigate.  I began looking for an option that would allow me to manage all three of my sites from one central location.  While I was doing some Internet research on blogging platforms, I came across WordPress.  This is a free, open-source software that has managed to provide everything I was looking for.  (Thanks, WordPress.)  I also have a new web hosting company, GreenGeeks, which is a very cool company.  I’m happy to say that my site is now 300% green!

After developing the site locally on my computer for the last month, I am super excited to share it with you.  (I will be bringing over my voice studio website and blog in the near future.)  As with most things, it is a work in progress, so I hope you’ll check back soon to see what I’ve come up with.  Thanks so much for visiting with me!
