Scarlett is now eight months old. As she works on her skills, she is just beginning to test her balance by pulling herself up to a stand and then letting go. She can stand without support for a few seconds before plopping down on her butt. It’s pretty adorable. She is making lots of sounds too. She says, “Da da da da da,” which could be baby-speak for “Daddy.” Brian is pretty excited; I’m a bit envious. I’ve been waiting for “mama” for months. I fantasize about the moment when she will say, “I love you, Mama.” I anticipate that my heart might explode on the spot.
Scarlett tried on Aunt Lirbs’ hat the other day.
I think she looks a little bit like Eponine in Les Misérables. Or maybe Fievel Mousekewitz. Regardless, the cuteness factor is off the charts. Man, I love her.

Man, I love her too! She radiates love and is truly such a miracle. I fantasize about the day when she says, "Auntie Em, you're my favorite and I love you!" Haha. Just kidding . . . kind of. 😉
